Lake Fishing Trips

We offer professionally guided stillwater fly fishing experiences across Southeast Wyoming, focusing on two distinct lake environments: the accessible Plains Lakes and the remote High-Mountain Alpine Lakes.

Laramie Plains Lakes Trips

We guide on the fertile plains reservoirs known for their strong populations of trout. Our goal is to help you successfully target and catch fish using time-tested still water strategies.

  • Trip Style: We primarily use wading and bank fishing techniques, utilizing flies that imitate the abundant aquatic insect life of these lakes (chironomids, scuds, leeches, etc.). Depending on current conditions, we may use float tubes for better access.

  • Lakes: Includes reservoirs like Lake Hattie, Twin Buttes, Diamond Lake, and others, chosen based on the best current fishing reports and accessibility.

  • Service Includes: Hands-on instruction in still water presentation, rods and tackle, and guidance tailored to the specific lake environment.

High Alpine lakes

Custom Request Only)

For a deeper wilderness experience, we offer custom-designed, multi-day backpacking trips into the high-country alpine lakes. This option is about fishing secluded, breathtaking waters, often requiring significant effort to reach.

  • Target Species: Smaller, colorful trout species such as Golden Trout, Cutthroat Trout, and Brook Trout.

  • Trip Style: Multi-day fishing and camping expedition into the wilderness, focusing on lakes in the Snowy Range and similar remote areas.

  • Availability: This service is only offered by request due to the complex planning, permitting, specialized gear, and safety considerations involved.

  • Next Steps: We will need a detailed discussion about your group's fitness, desired trip length, gear requirements, and expectations before we can provide an itinerary and pricing.
